IPL 2011 List of retained players

The official list of retained players for the IPL 2011 has been announced by the BCCI.

Chennai Super Kings retained captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Suresh Raina, Murali Vijay and Albie Morkel, while Mumbai Indians reatained Sachin Tendulkar, Harbhajan Singh, Lasith Malinga and Kieron Pollard.

The full list of retained players is as follows:

Chennai Super Kings : MS Dhoni (Ind), Murali Vijay (Ind), Suresh Raina (Ind) and Albie Morkel (SA).

Kochi team will play in IPL 2011

The controversial IPL team Kochi will play in the forthcoming India Premier League (IPL) T20 torunament. Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has allowed the Kochi franchisee after their ownership structure has been verified satisfactory.
Earlier the Kochi franchisee has been given three deadlines for settling the issues.
The investors in the Kochi consortium include Anchor Earth, Parinee Developers, Rosy Blue and Film Wave and the Gaikwad family (Rendezvous Sports World) .

Harbhajan Singh, the first batsman in Test history to hit two consecutive centuries at No.8

Hyderabad: India's ace spin bowler Harbhajan Singh became the first batsman batting at No. 8 to score two successive centuries in test cricket.

Harbhajan achieved this record when he hit his successive ton in the second test against New Zealand at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad today .

Harbhajan scored his century off 105 balls and remained not out at 111 from 116 balls with 7 fours and 7 sixes.
