Lakhs of the students in Andhra Pradesh will be waiting for getting the admission in an Engineering college, that’s the cause every student who qualified in EAMCET 2010 are looking forward for the Counseling. From the last year the Counseling is not a manual one and it is a web based counseling. Many of the students don’t know about the procedure of the web counseling clearly. So http://www.studentlabs.info is providing the details regarding the Procedure to be followed by the aspirant from Registration to getting the allotment order…!

Web Counseling Procedure


1st stage : Registration

• The aspirants should submit the EAMCET 2010 rank card for the concern officer allotted in the Web Counseling helpline center
• They will call the aspirants rank wise. When they call you rank then you can pay the Counseling registration fee and take the receipt
• Then the aspirants should take the ‘Registration, Verification form’ from the computer operator
• You must write your hall ticket number, rank in the register and then sign there. Thus your registration is completed
• Again they will call your name for Document verification and you guys must get ready by with all the certificates to the verification center.

2nd stage : Certificate Verification

• One must check the Registration, Verification form for the details like Name, Local Area, Category, Date of Birth. If there are any mistakes in that then we have to rectify there itself.
• There will be two officers. One officer is for checking the caste certificates of SC,ST and BC and the another officer will look over the hall ticket, ranks card, marks memos, study certificates, Income certificates.
• The students belonging to the OC Category can directly go to the certificates verification officer.
• After all this process is completed they will give an receipt for the certificates that they have taken from you. It contains the list of certificates that you have submitted to the concerned officer. Check it and make sure there are no any mistakes.
• The aspirants are requested to go to the briefing hall there they will give guidance for the aspirants regarding the Choice filling of branch, colleges

3rd Stage : Suggestions on Options filling

• The Aspirants should check the colleges and the Branches provided by those colleges as mentioned in the information bulletin. This will help you guys in giving preferences to the colleges.
• Option filling is nothing but giving the preferences for the colleges and Branches that you want to join
• In the briefing hall the concerned officer will explain how the preferences will be given through an Manual Option form.
• The aspirants should take the lists of the College codes, branches offered by the colleges and the specimen form from the Briefing Officer
• At last the Briefing Officer will teach you how to fill the specimen form as per your choices and lock them

4th Stage : Home work for aspirants to choose preferences

• Discuss with your parents, lecturers and friends regarding the colleges, branches on which you are interested to join.
• You have to fill the option number in the specimen form under the Branch code and college code in which you want to join.
• If you want to give first preference in JNTU College in CSE branch then you must give the number 1 option in the box under the CSE Branch in JNTU College row and in the same college you want another choice as ECE then put 2 option in the box under the CSE in the same row. If you can’t get the seat in CSE Branch for the rank scored in JNTU college then they will take ECE branch in to consideration.

5th Stage : Option filling through Internet

• Here we must fill the options online as you have already made manually in the specimen form. You can make use of the helpline centers or Internet Kafe or from home. One must be careful while filling this form as this is so important.
• The students should fill the college, Branch options online on the computer screen by using the options that you have already made manually in the specimen form (Home work that you have done on colleges, branch preferences )
• One more important thing. After entering every option click on save option to save the options that you have entered.

How to enter the Options on the screen ?

• • You must have already completed certificate verification.
• Please enter URL or Website address: http://apeamcet.nic.in
• In the home page you will find the Web counseling, Candidates registration for web counseling, Candidates login and some more details.
• Click on the candidates login and select ‘candidates registration’.
• After clicking on the candidates registration fill the form Click on ‘generate password’ option. In the ‘Enter Password’ box you must enter 6 characters password and one of the character must be a number. And enter the same password in ‘Re-enter Password’ again and Click on save button. After completing the registration Click on ‘Logout’.
• You can again go to the home page and ‘Candidates login Option’ and then try to fill the options

Options Filling :

• After getting registered in ‘Candidates login’ then click on the ‘Sign in’ button. Then computer displays the instructions, declarations have a look at them and then Click on the ‘Check box’ for confirmation.
• Click on ‘Option Entry Form’ or ‘Help Screen’ which are displayed on the menu screen. After reading the instructions click on ‘click here to enter options’ button and the ‘check boxes’ along with the district names will be provide for you on the screen.
• To fill the options online Click on the ‘Display Option Entry Form’. Then you can find the four Engineering Branches and the college codes in the districts that you have selected before. As already you have filled the specimen form as per the preferences that you want. Fill the Colleges, Course Option Numbers in the boxes that you find on the screen.
• While filling the option form ‘Click on Save Options’ at regular intervals.
After completion of Option entry Click on “Logout”, it displays an alert message with three buttons “Save and Logout”, “Confirm Logout” and ‘Cancel Logout’.
• Click on ‘Cancel Logout’ retains the Options Entry Form. Click on “Save & Logout” button will save the options exercised up to that point of time and display the details of the options exercised. Click on “Confirm Logout” button will directly display the details of the options exercised.
• The students can change the options as many number of times as he can, before the last date. The Choices will be freazed then and If any students want to change the freazed options they should go to the help line centers before the last date and he has the opportunity to change the choices only once.

6th stage : Seat Allotment

• As per the date mentioned in the Notification the seats are allotted based on the Students Merit, Category.
• This is the final allotment and it would not be changed further.

7th Stage : Fee Payment

• Download the Challan form for payment of fee or collect it from helpline centre. With downloaded allotment order you have to remit the fees in one of the branches of Andhra Bank or Indian Bank in the State and obtain a receipt.

8th stage : Reporting at College

• With downloaded allotment order fee receipt etc., you have to report at the respective Colleges in which seat is allotted within the dates mentioned by the authorities. If you fail to report on or before the date stipulated by the authority
