India defeated Australia for one wicket in the first test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy held at Mohali.The Test match which had all the excitement and tension ended in favour of India when the last man Pragyan Ojha picked up two leg-byes off Mitchell Johnsonbowling. VVS Laxman is the hero of the match with 73 off 78 balls. Indian tailender Ishant Sharma gave support with 31 off 106 deliveries.
Pacer Zaheer Khan was selected as the Man of the Match.
