Emmaindi Eevela Review

"Emmaindi Eevella"which promised to be a cute love story is yet another failed film for the young generation which is a warped version of the lives of youngsters who come to Hyderabad and reside in hostels at Ameerpet to look for a job or study. This picture is the debut for the heroine Nisha Agarwal, who has a strong platform in the film industry because she is the sister of the extremely beautiful, talented and highly successful heroine Kajal Agarwal.

The hero of the film is Varun Sandesh, who is famous for his young, college-going type, fun-loving, chocolate boy roles and had marked his career in Tollywood with the fun film "Happy Days". But he has now set a trend for picking up bad roles and this movie was definitely a wrong choice.

The main theme of the movie is that how youngsters of today are not wary of indulging in a second marriage and it starts of with Avantika (Nisha) and Srinu (Varun) telling their prospective husband and wife respectively, about their ex-es and the disastrous marriage they shared. This is the cue for the movie to go into flashback when Avantika, a small town, traditional girl arrives in Hyderabad and stays in a hostel in Ameerpet for a job. Here she has a mini culture shock after seeing girls discussing boys, hanging out with guys and hears them talk animatedly about their sleep-overs at their boyfreind's place.

After this the story takes a very predictable turn as Avantika ends uo doing all this and much more with Srinu, an uber cool guy who has also come to Hyderabad for a job. This gives way to half an hour of coochie-cooing, romancing and leads to a marriage opposed by parents. But then things go wrong and here they are today- bitter, angry, annoyed and separated from each other.....;

The movie has a very predictable plot and a biased, wrong way of portraying to day's youth. Also, the differences between the couple in the marriage are juvenile and not been portrayed in a realistic way which could convince the viewer that things really went wrong...A stony-faced Nisha could not render justice to the various emotions her character in the film goes through. Varun Sandesh can add yet another flop to his kitty with this film, which is dangerously leading him to the edge of his career...

Overall, thumbs down for Emmaindi Eevela....:(
