Ramlath (Ramalatha), wife of actor-director Prabhu Deva has attempted suicide and has been admitted to the hospital in a critical condition. According to sources she has been upset for the last few weeks regarding the news of Prabhu Deva marrying leading south Indian actress Nayantara.
Earlier this year south Indian actor-director Prabhu Deva confirmed that he is in love with leading actress Nayantara and the marriage will take place soon.
Prabhu Deva is already married has three sons. He will soon divorce his first wife Latha with whom he had three sons – Vishal, Rishi and Aditya. His eldest son Vishal passed away due to cancer in 2008.
