Nenu Naa Rakshasi Movie Review

Nenu Naa Rakshasi, a movie that has created very strong buzz for various reasons like the director of the movie Puri Jagannadh, who is known for making interesting and entertaining movies. Also, the movie is much awaited by many of the movie buffs as this the second movie of "Leader" hero RaNa Daggubati who is donning the role of a professional killer and the female lead opposite to him is Ileana.

The negative role was played by Abhimanyu Singh of Rakta Charitra fame, who has received appreciation for his role "Bukka Reddy" in the same movie and also there is another negative role played by Mumaith Khan.

The latest release Nenu Naa Rakshashi by Puri Jagannadh has been produced by Nallamalupu Srinivas under Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Productions banner.
The story of the movie is Abhimanyu (Rana) is a sharp shooter and works on a mission. Without much questions his moderator sends the MMS basing on which Abhimanyu kills them. Meanwhile, Abhimanyu meets a girl Meenakshi (Ileana) and falls in love with her.

The Police Department comes across a YouTube channel somewhere else which has many videos of people ending their lives by committing suicides. The rest of the story is regarding the Abhimanyu and Meenakshi's love story and the Police Department chasing the person who is involved in uploading the suicide videos.

The movie begins with a bang as the central point of the movie is showcased well in the first sequence. RaNa as sharp shooter has been introduced well and the slick action sequences of the movie are well composed. RaNa acting was convinced as per the role.

Ileana's character is very unenthusiastic to fall in love for her own explanations. Ileana remains unwavering on her decisions. Her role is single dimensional to understand. May be the title "Raakshasi" has been convincingly suitable for that reason alone.

Apart from the hero and heroine, Subbaraju and Abhimanyu Singh will leave a very good impression in the movie. Subbaraju is a Police Officer who is on the job of cracking the mysterious stories around YouTube videos while Abhimanyu Singh is the don who wants to redress the murder of his father and brother. The child actress, who played the role of Subbaraju's daughter, has given her best performance.

The second half of the movie goes on a slower pace compared to the first half and at certain points, the sequences become more cinematic. However, the debatable point on whether suicide is ethical or not is smartly dodged. The comedy scenes are lame and when it comes to dancing, Rana has certainly got a long way to go.
